#1 Always Colorful !

I am Kristina - a Bulgarian/Canadian multidisciplinary artist based in the Netherlands.

World-building is the main theme in my work.
I am interested in a particular aspect of it: inner world-building.
I create artworks and immersive experiences that confront the audience with an unfamiliar environment.
Providing temporary evasion but most importantly- an opportunity for contemplation.
I believe in the complete surrender to an experience.
My design is heavily driven by science fiction, spirituality, and mysticism.
I also gather inspiration from modern architecture and immersive interiors.
I get goosebumps thinking about yet-to-be-imagined worlds.
My creation process involves analog experimentation with materials and textures.
I incorporate neon colors, lights, iridescence, transparency, and fluidity.

Parallel to my artistic practice, I gave 3D maquettes and AI Content Creation workshops in the academic sector and in media companies. I also tutored in Image Design and Computer Graphics at United Pop University of Amsterdam and I produced the live competitive painting event Art Battle Amsterdam. For more than 3 years, I am also involved in the curation and floor management of the venue Manifestations for Dutch Design Week.
